So I’m all about the hot drinks right now because even though I’m chilling it in Virginia where it’s a good 20 degrees warmer than it is in Michigan I’m headed home to the mitten state tomorrow and temps in the 40s. Shudders. So I will definitely need this recipe. My friend Whitney from WhitBit’s Indian Kitchen is here sharing a Chai Hot Chocolate that will totally keep you warm all winter long!

Chai hot chocolate is a spicy twist on tea and hot cocoa and perfect to keep you warm this winter!

Hi, Cook. Craft. Love. readers! My name is Whitney and I’m so excited to be here with you guys today 🙂 I love fall. I am also mildly fond of winter, if only for the assorted drinks, foods, and sweets that are associated with it. Both fall and winter have one of my favorite drinks in common: hot chocolate. Give me all of the hot chocolate drinks.  White hot chocolate, dark hot chocolate, Mexican hot chocolate, you name it. I want it. I’ll drink it.

I have a very special hot chocolate drink for you today, chai hot chocolate. It’s similar to Mexican hot chocolate, except it has a little tea and a little more spice. I absolutely love it and I’m sure you will, too. Especially if you love chai. Chai hot chocolate is especially good on rainy or cold days. It will warm you up instantly. Pair it with a piping hot samosa, some biscotti, or your favorite cookie and you’ll be all set!

And if you’re in the mood for other hot drinks try Meaghan’s white hot chocolate! And then go out and make this. You won’t be sorry. Thanks again for having me here today! See you soon 😉

I just love Whitney! The two of you are going to have to teach me the trick for photographing drinks sometime. I have NEVER gotten it right. This looks gorgeous.

Yay... I need this. I love chai! I think I have everything except the black tea, maybe. I feel like I used the last bit we had. BUT I will restock soon because this is a definite snow-day recipe!
