Cream Cheese and Cherry Toaster Strudels

Ingredients
  • 2 8oz packages crescent rolls
  • 1 cup cherry pie filling, homemade or canned
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and grease or line your baking sheet.

  2. Unroll one package of crescent dough and leave two triangles together to create 4 large rectangles.* Pinch the seams together tightly and then smooth with your finger to get rid of the line.

  3. Spoon about 1 Tbs of cherries on the left and right side of the rectangle, leaving a space in the middle for the cream cheese. You want more cherries than 'goo' here so that it doesn't ooze out the sides while baking. Add about 1 Tbs of cream cheese between the cherries. 

  4. Cover with the second rectangle of dough and seal the edges with a fork.

  5. Bake at 350 degrees for 13-15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm!

Recipe Notes

*If you'd like to make 8 small strudels then cut the rectangles in half after pinching the seams together.
