Several weeks ago my friend Nicole from Little Blog on the Homestead suggested I joined Hometalk which is basically a site that functions much like Pinterest {my absolute favorite social media site everrrrr} but is devoted solely to home improvement, diy, and craft projects.  I don’t have a ton of craft projects on my site but I shrugged my shoulders, created an account, and fell madly and passionately in love.

I think the reason I love Hometalk so much is because I’m not a particularly crafty person. I mean I can wield a glue gun and some ribbon but I definitely am not the queen of room or furniture makeovers by any means.  My laundry room makeover about killed me.  Which is crazy because it is literally a 6 foot by 3 foot space that got maybe 4 changes.  I was totally ready to pull my hair out.  And when I come across posts that put my crafty creations to shame I’m totally sucked in.  For hours.

So when someone from Hometalk saw my post on 3 ways to clean candle holders and contacted me asking me if I’d like to create a clipboard about repurposing old jars that they could feature in their newsletter I kind of thought they’d made a mistake.  I’d been on the site for just a couple days and had added exactly one post.  I sort of did that thing you do when someone waves at you and you look over your shoulder to see if they’re waving at someone standing behind you.

But I love love love being able to take something old and make it new again.  Anything that reduces waste and makes something pretty and useful is a good thing in my book.  And I had so much fun searching through Hometalk for repurposed jars and saw so many amazing posts that I’m sharing with you!  Check out my clipboard for all of these awesome repurposed jar ideas!
