Get ready for summer with homemade frozen yogurt gone smores. These frozen yogurt smores sandwiches have all the flavors of your favorite summer treat!
It’s March now and I’m absolutely positively ready for spring. The weather, unfortunately, isn’t listening to my pleas because it snowed over the weekend. Bleh. If wishes alone could make it warm we’d be in the dead of summer already but until that time comes I am just going to think warm thoughts. Really really hard. It IS supposed to be 59 tomorrow. So I’ll take that. That might even warm enough for me to overlook the rain 😉
While I wait for summer to officially arrive instead of just teasing me with warm temps and diving back down into the 30s I’m going to sit down and enjoy one of these amazing s’mores sandwiches. Or two. I might even mix up a drink with a little umbrella in it if I’m feeling really fancy. I don’t know what it is about s’mores but the flavors just make me think summer. Marshmallow + chocolate + graham crackers = summers spent around the campfire and in the pool. The little umbrella drinks don’t hurt either.
I’ve never made frozen yogurt before and this was my first time trying out the ice cream maker that I won at a holiday blogger event in December. I’m so sad that I let it sit on the floor of our pantry all these months because oh my YUM. Homemade fro yo is ah-may-zing and I can already tell we’re going to be making a lot of homemade ice cream this summer. I think the only thing I would change about this recipe would be to use regular yogurt or even the roommie’s favorite non-dairy Silk brand just because Greek yogurt gives it a decidedly Greek yogurt flavor. Which is totally fine if you like that {like I do}. The roommies, however, are not Greek yogurt fans so it’s up to me to shoulder the burden of eating this batch. It’s a real hardship, I tell ya.
So if you’re in desperate need of a little bit of summer make some homemade fro yo, swirl it with marshmallow-y goodness, and ring it with as many mini chocolate chips as it’ll hold. Don’t forget the crunchy graham crackers, though. Because what’s a s’more sandwich without graham crackers?

It was 80 degrees here, so I think I deserve one of these soon! I love anything S'Mores related... and I ALMOST have everything in my kitchen to make, I just need to get some Greek yogurt -- mine always goes bad because I don't use it enough! ha!

My roommate likes Silk yogurt because she isn't a huge fan of that after taste of milk-based yogurts so I think I'll have to try that brand next!

Hahaha! If they do indeed taste like graham crackers that would probably be a good substitution :P
