Apple pie filling is one of my most favorite and versatile kitchen staples! It's great in pie, cupcakes, scones, party dips, and more! I made this delicious apple pie treat even easier by slow cooking the apples in the crock pot all day for perfect apple pie filling every time!

  • 10 pounds apples peeled and chopped
  • 1 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 2 cups ½ milk
  • 4 cups sugar
  • 1/4 cup cinnamon
  • 2 Tbs lemon juice
  1. Add milk and cornstarch to the bottom of a large crock pot and whisk until completely combined.
  2. Add apples, sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice and stir carefully to coat the apples.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or until apples reach desired tenderness.
  4. Store in air tight containers in the fridge for up to 2 weeks or can for freshness up to several months.
Recipe Notes

I like a heavy bite of cinnamon so I doubled the cinnamon when I made this. Adjust the cinnamon levels to your tastes.
