Stay warm and festive with these boozy Halloween milkshake shots! A great treat for a grown up Halloween party or take out the booze for a kid friendly Halloween party.

I’m sitting here wrapped up in a hoodie, with sweat pants, and socks on while my roommate traipses around the Windy City {that’s Chicago in case you were slow like me and had no idea} in a tank top.  To say that this winter is going to be rough on me might be the understatement of the century.  Heaven help me.  At least I already own snow boots, right?  Right?!

So it seems weird, even to me, that I’ve made a Halloween shooter with ice cream.  Especially since we’ve still got just under 4 weeks left until Halloween and I’m already freezing.  But these work in a weird way ’cause it’s my intense desire for summer to come back {seriously we skipped right over my favorite part of fall and jumped right into southern November weather.  Not a fan.} and my need for alcohol to keep me warm.

Admittedly I’ve never made a shooter before.  At least one that wasn’t boozy.  These key lime shooters are the bomb.com but no alcohol in sight.  I must be thirsty or something though because I could not get these off of my mind!  Plus it was an excuse to dip shot glasses in chocolate and decorate them with lime green sprinkles.  Who turns down an excuse like that?  Not this girl.

And after my Halloween cake pop and cookie fails of September I am happy to report that these came out really well and on every single try!  We don’t need to talk about how many test runs I had this weekend while alone in the house.  At least there was no one here to witness my taste testing 😉 You can, of course, make these without the vodka if you want a kid-friendly version for a Halloween party.  I loved the pomegranate flavor but I think that you could also do quite well {and end up with some fun colors} if you use blue curacao or a green apple liqueur instead.

What’s your favorite fun {or spooky} drink for Halloween?

You know, technically, with the pomegranate juice, these have antioxidant properties... calcium to build bones... almost healthy. ;) They are super cute!
