When I shared those One Bowl Blueberry Orange Muffins I mentioned that fresh fruit makes me nervous. ‘Nervous? But, Meaghan why?’ you ask? Fresh fruit tends to spoil on me. And I have an abhorrent dislike for throwing out food.  But since I make this crumble at the end of every summer because peaches are stupid cheap and super pretty, I figured it was high time I share it with you.

Peach season is coming to an end which means fall is just around the corner. Excuse me a minute while I kick up my heels, grab my football jersey, and prep for pumpkin everything.

There are tons of good things you can do with peaches so I definitely recommend hitting up those great end of season sales and buying as much as you can freeze!  You can freeze them in serving sizes for smoothies or this peach cobbler protein shake or you can make peaches and cream roll bread or these amaaaaaazeballs peach bellinis.

Or you can thank me later and make this peach crumble pie right now.

I think there are as many different crumble recipes as there are kinds of fruit you can put in them but this one has a brown sugar crumble direct from Baking Beauty.  It’s sweet but not too sweet and tastes great warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream melting down the top.  Yum!

I just LOVE how crisp it gets in the oven and there’s so much of it. Which is good because the crumble is probably my favorite part.

I mixed my peaches in a little caramel sauce before topping it with my crumble and let me just tell you…best. idea. ever.  Seriously. Do it.  Because it just does something to those peaches that makes you want to get up and dance a jig around the room and sit back down for another bowl.  I’m not lyin’

And then top it all off with a big scoop of ice cream that just melts right down into the crumble and the peaches. Dead.
