Every Christmas I have to watch my favorite Christmas movie How the Grinch Stole Christmas and this year I have the perfect popcorn snack to enjoy while I watch!
I’m a Scrooge. A Grinch if you will. Christmas is not my favorite holiday and I find myself more and more annoyed when it seems to start a little earlier each year. I’m not pointing the finger at anyone *cough*bigbusiness*cough* but this year I saw Christmas creeping into the stores before my birthday in mid-October.
That’s more than a little ridiculous.
I feel like with Christmas smacking me in the face in October I don’t get the proper amount of time to appreciate the beautiful crispness of fall, the awesome extravaganza that is my birthday, spooky Halloween, or a turkey-ful Thanksgiving. And I am not ok with that.
But I am not completely without joy during the holiday season. Especially this year since I’m able to fly home and spend time with family. And meet my two newest nephews for the first time!
I love to observe my handful of holiday traditions each year. And even though some of them aren’t very Christmas-y {like Chinese take out on Christmas Eve} they’re something we do every year. It makes my little Grinch heart happy to sit down with my family and watch White Christmas in our PJs, to smell my grandma’s sticky buns on Christmas morning, harmonize Christmas hymns with my sister at church.
And it just wouldn’t be Christmas without a viewing of National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation and The Grinch. Let’s be real though. I’m talking about the Dr. Seuss cartoon NOT the creepy live action version with Jim Carey. I watch it at least twice every year and to be honest I’m surprised I don’t have my own copy. It makes my heart grow three sizes.
Which is frankly why I’m surprised it’s taken me SO long to create a snack to go with it. But this simple, sweet popcorn snack is the perfect thing to accompany your How the Grinch Stole Christmas viewing party! It’ll make YOUR heart grow three sizes too 😉

Hi Meaghan. I think this is a great gift idea for my favorite Grinch. Do you know how long this would stay fresh? Thank you for sharing!

The popcorn usually starts to go soft and have less bite after about 48-72 hours. It never lasts that long in my house!
