Entertain the kids with a fun and easy Easter Crossword Puzzle!
When I was teaching I always loved working the seasons and holidays into my lessons in some way. Whether we’d go out and do a nature walk to collect different colored leaves in the fall or make footprint snowmen around Christmas or do a symmetry activity for Valentine’s Day I’ve always loved relating what’s going on in the kids lives to lessons in the classroom.
Y’all really enjoyed the St. Patrick’s Day word search that my friend Sydney from Tastefully Frugal shared so I wanted to bring you some more! I love crossword puzzles! I’m not one of those insane people who can do the ones in the newspaper but I’m pretty ace at the easy to medium books you can get at the Dollar Store.
They’re so fun for little learners! They’re practicing recall, spelling, and having to pay attention to detail when finding which answer block goes with which question. Believe me that’s a harder thing to do than you think! Last year I had second graders confused by the idea of a crossword puzzle. Which is why we started doing them way more often in that class! After they were used to them you could have heard a pin drop when I passed out a crossword puzzle.
